Biography

Klaus-Martin Treder (b. 1961) lives and works in Berlin.

Selected solo exhibitions since 1993 include Feldbusch Wiesner Rudolph, Berlin (2024), Galerie Grölle, Düsseldorf (2023), KOENIG2 by_robbygreif, Vienna (2022), FS.ART, Ravensburg (2017), Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken (2013), Städtische Galerie, Waldkraiburg (2010), Villa Merkel, Esslingen (2005). His work has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including at Kunstmuseum Stuttgart (2024), Wexford Arts Centre, Ireland (2019), Von Hockney bis Holbein. Die Sammlung Würth at Martin Gropius Bau, Berlin (2015), Farbe Raum Farbe at Georg Kolbe Museum, Berlin, Gestohlene Gesten, Kunsthaus Nürnberg (2013), abstract confusion, B-05 Kunst- und Kulturzentrum, Montabaur (2011), Galerie Zink, Munich (2010), Beijing 798 Biennale, Beijing, China (2009), Galéria Medium, Bratislava (2007).

He studied at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart from 1990 to 1995, and at the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie from 1998 to 1999, Poland (DAAD fellowship for graduate students).
